THE STORY FROM CHIX:
Christian Steitz is the most precise wine maker I know. I first tasted his Spatburgunder (the German name for Pinot Noir) in 2011 during a wine tasting tour of Germany. I knew immediately I had to import his wines into the UK and almost missed my flight home to secure the deal. When everyone back home saw how excited I was about my new friends they thought perhaps I had been bribed with too much alcohol. Spatburgunder remains one of the most popular wines amongst our customers to this day – end of story!
